Men's lacrosse downed by Colgate

HAMILTON, N.Y. - The Holy Cross men's lacrosse team fell to Colgate, 15-3, on Saturday afternoon at Andy Kerr Satdium.

Holy Cross moves to 3-11 (1-7 PL), while Colgate moves to 7-6 (4-3 PL).

HOW IT HAPPENED:
  • Colgate got out to a 2-0 lead before junior Will Messineo found the back of the net to cut the lead in half.
  • Colgate extended their lead over the remainder of the first and through the second before freshman Owen Tunney netted his first of the game just before the halftime break.
  • Senior John Mitchell scored in a quite third quarter for both sides.
BEYOND THE BOX:
  • Junior Sean Miller made 14 saves in the contest.
  • Sophomore Michael Rincon led the Crusader defense with two caused turnovers and four ground balls, while junior Julian Jenkins also tacked on four ground ball pickups.
UP NEXT:
  • Holy Cross will travel to Metuchen, N.J. for a midweek neutral site matchup with UMBC on Thursday, April 24.
  • Game time is set for 4:30 p.m.
