WORCESTER, Mass. — Holy Cross women's basketball assistant coach
Paige Corkins was named to the Women's Basketball Coaches Association (WBCA) Thirty Under 30 list, which was announced by the organization on Thursday. This is the second straight year Corkins earned this honor.
"I'm honored to be recognized by the WBCA for the second straight year," said Corkins. "It's humbling to be acknowledged among such a talented and passionate group of coaches, who inspire me daily to push boundaries and strive for excellence. I'm excited to continue to learn and grow in this field and to help inspire the next generation of female coaches and athletes."
The WBCA Thirty Under 30 program was created to recognize 30 up-and-coming women's basketball coaches aged 30 and under at all levels of the game. Each honoree has exemplified their involvement in community service, mentorship and impact on others, professional manner, and attitude, and professional association involvement.
"I am incredibly proud of Paige for being recognized by the WBCA," said head coach
Candice Green. "This award is a testament to her unwavering dedication and hard work. She invests in the development of our athletes on the court and their growth as individuals off the court. Her commitment to the well-being and success of our student-athletes is inspiring, and I couldn't be more thrilled to see her efforts being acknowledged."
Corkins has made an impact coaching up the post players since arriving on The Hill. In 2024-25, senior
Lindsay Berger, an academic all-Patriot League selection as well as a second and all-defensive team choice posted a career season. Junior
Meg Cahalan saw her minutes improve from 6.5 per game in 2023-24 to 26.7 per game in 2024-25. Cahalan made her mark as a stretch forward in the Crusader system.
During 2023-24 Corkins helped guide the Crusaders to the second NCAA Tournament win in Patriot League history, the 2024 Patriot League Tournament Championship, and the 2023-24 Patriot League Regular Season Championship.
Janelle Allen was named to the Patriot League Championship All-Tournament Team and All-Patriot League Third Team.
Corkins came from Fordham after spending the first season as a video analyst and adding director of player development to her responsibilities for the 2022-23 season. While with the Rams, Corkins developed and carried out individual workout plans, return to play injury plans, produced scouting reports, assisted Green in developing game strategy, designing of effective and efficient training and practices for both the team and individual student-athletes as well as coordinated all film and video responsibilities for the program.
Before Fordham, Corkins was an assistant coach at her alma mater, Concordia for three years specifically working with the post players while assisting with academic support, coordinating team activities and scouting. During her tenure at Concordia, the program reached the NCAA Division II Regionals. A four year letter winner for the Clippers, the one-time team captain finished her career ranked 15th in program history in offensive rebounds and was top-20 in both rebounds and defensive rebounds.
Corkins graduated from Concordia with a bachelor of science in psychology in 2017 and earned her master's of science in public media from Fordham in 2023.Â
Holy Cross finished the season with a 19-12 overall record and an 11-7 mark in Patriot League play.
