Green is in her fourth season on the Holy Cross coaching staff in 2026-27 including one season as an assistant coach.
In her first full season as head coach in 2025-26, Green guided Holy Cross to its 14th Patriot League Tournament Championship and its 15th NCAA Tournament Appearance. The Crusaders earned a No. 15 seed in the 2026 NCAA Tournament and played No. 2 Michigan in the NCAA First Round. Senior guard Kaitlyn Flanagan paced the Crusaders with 16 points and nine assists in the PenFed Credit Union Patriot League Championship game earning Patriot League Championship MVP honors. Senior forward Meg Cahalan would also be named to the All-Tournament Team.
Green had three members of her team earn All-Patriot League honors. Cahalan headlined the trio with a First Team selection, Flanagan earned Second Team honors for the second year in a row and junior guard Kendall Eddy made the All-Defensive Team. Cahalan and Flangan also earned Academic All-Patriot League and CSC Academic All-District honors.
Candice Green entered the 2024-2025 season as interim head coach of the Holy Cross women’s basketball team. On Feb. 24, 2025 she was named the permanent head coach of the Crusaders.
Green earned her first win at Holy Cross on Saturday, Nov. 9, a 61-49 victory at Massachusetts-Lowell.
In her second season on The Hill, Green coached the Crusaders to a 19-12 overall record and an 11-7 mark in Patriot League play. Holy Cross earned the No. 5 seed in the Patriot League Tournament and fell to Lehigh in the conference semifinals. The 2024-25 Crusaders featured two All-Patriot League honorees, one Academic All-Patriot League selections and four CSC Academic All-District picks.
In her first season with the Crusaders, Green helped lead Holy Cross to their 13th Patriot League Tournament Championship and the 2023-24 Patriot League Regular Season title. Working with the guards, Bronagh Power-Cassidy was named the Patriot League Championship MVP, the Patriot League Championship All-Tournament Team, Patriot League Scholar-Athlete of the Year and to the Patriot League First Team. Cara McCormack also earned Patriot League Championship All-Tournament Team honors and was named Third Team All-Patriot League.
Green comes to Worcester after four years at Fordham serving as the interim head coach in the Bronx for the 2022-23 campaign. Green helped guide the Rams to a 19-13 mark, a 10-6 Atlantic 10 Conference record and an appearance in the Women’s National Invitation Tournament (WNIT). Under Green’s guidance, Asiah Dingle was named the Atlantic 10 Co-Defensive Player of the Year, to the All-Conference First Team and the All-Defensive Team while Anna DeWolfe earned First Team honors for the third straight year.
No stranger to the Patriot League, Green spent three years at Colgate as an assistant coach and one as the director of operations where she was responsible for the team’s social media accounts, video scouting and recruiting.
Green graduated from Colgate in 2012 with a degree in neuroscience. She served as a two-time team captain for the Raiders playing in 111 career games and making 91 starts. She departed Hamilton reaching the top-10 all-time with 271 assists and 93 three-pointers.
