WORCESTER, Mass. – Holy Cross baseball freshman right-handed pitcher
Jake Lenahan has been named the Patriot League Rookie of the Week the league offices announced on Monday afternoon.
This is the second time this season a Crusader freshman has earned top rookie honors.
Lenahan made one appearance out of the bullpen for the Crusaders last week in the 12-1 win at Lehigh on Saturday, March 22. He factored in the decision picking up his first collegiate win pitching four innings of scoreless and hitless relief scattering two walks while striking out five.
On the year, Lenahan has a 4.11 ERA and 0.91 WHIP with 21 strikeouts and four walks in 15.1 innings.
The Crusaders (11-12, 3-1 PL) have recorded their best start in Patriot League play since 2015 when they captured four straight conference games en route to a 7-1 start. They will be back in action at Harvard (0-16) on Tuesday, March 25 at 3 p.m.
