WORCESTER, Mass. – Senior
Ella Kittredge scored a career-high seven goals, to lead the Holy Cross women's lacrosse team to a 20-3 victory over American at Kuzniewski Field. The Crusaders improve to 7-3 on the season and 3-0 in the Patriot League with the victory, while the Eagles fall to 5-5 overall and 1-2 in the conference.
HOW IT HAPPENED:
• Holy Cross opened the day by running off seven straight goals in the first 9:18 of action to take a 7-0 lead.
• The Crusaders were later up 9-1, before American scored back-to-back goals to trim the deficit to six (9-3) at halftime.
• But Holy Cross regained control in the second half, outscoring the Eagles 7-0 in the third quarter and 4-0 in the fourth to pull away for a 17-goal victory.
INSIDE THE NUMBERS:
• Junior
Mackenzie Creagh made four saves while allowing just three goals, improving to 7-1 on the season.
• Senior
Isabela Miller totaled four goals and one assist on the day, while junior
Kate Burns scored a pair of goals.
• Junior
Racheli Levy-Smith added 11 draw controls, four ground balls and two caused turnovers.
BEYOND THE BOX SCORE:
• Kittredge became the 15th player in program history to score 100 career goals, hitting the century mark with her first goal of the day at the 11:44-mark of the first quarter.
• The 17-goal margin of victory was Holy Cross' largest since defeating Central Connecticut 20-3 on Feb. 16, 2019.
• Kittredge's seven goals on the day tied for the third-highest single-game total in school history.

• The Crusaders will return to action on Saturday, March 29, when they travel to Bucknell for a 1 p.m. game.
