WEST POINT, N.Y. — Junior
Patrick Ling picked up wins in both singles and doubles action, as the Holy Cross men's tennis team posted a 4-1 victory over Loyola (Md.) at the Lichtenberg Tennis Center. The Crusaders improve to 3-6 on the season with the win, while the Greyhounds fall to 2-9 overall.
DOUBLES ACTION:
• At No. 2 doubles, Ling and sophomore
Matt Carlson downed Ryan Boland and Cristian Pemueller 6-4.
• But Loyola earned wins at the No. 1 and No. 3 spots to claim the doubles point.
SINGLES PLAY:
• Holy Cross came back with four singles wins to claim the overall victory.
• Freshman
Ezequiel De la Plaza led the way with a 6-2, 6-2 victory over Noah Castillo at the No. 1 spot.
• Junior
Camilo Illanes posted a 6-1, 6-1 win over George Cavo at No. 4.
• Ling defeated Boland 6-0, 6-4 at No. 5
• Freshman
Lucas Bikkesbakker topped Pemueller 6-4, 6-4 at No. 6.
