EASTON, Pa. - The Holy Cross men's lacrosse team fell to Lafayette, 13-8, Saturday afternoon at Fisher Stadium.

Holy Cross moves to 3-6 (1-2 PL), while Lafayette improves to 5-3 (1-2 PL).

HOW IT HAPPENED:

• Lafayette got out to the 2-0 lead to open the first quarter, before sophomores Jude Lynch and Jon-Luke Duley traded goals with the Leopards to bring the score to 4-2 going into the quarter break.
• Lafayette dominated the second quarter, with junior Will Messineo scoring the lone goal for the Crusaders as the Leopards got out to a 10-3 lead before haltime.
• Holy Cross took control in the third with Lynch picking up his second of the game and freshman Owen Tunney and senior Henry Sheehan getting on the scoresheet to cut the lead to 11-7.
• Lynch completed his second hat trick of the season and senior Michael Bonomo converted on the Crusaders EMO in the fourth, though Lafayette was able to extend their lead to 13-8 to close out the game.

BEYOND THE BOX:

• Junior goalkeeper JR Long finished the afternoon with five saves.
• Sophomore Michael Rincon led the Crusaders with three caused turnovers. 
• Freshman Harry Attell finished the contest 5-for-11 (.455) at the faceoff X with three ground ball pickups.

UP NEXT:

• Holy Cross will return home to Kuzniewski Field to face Navy for their Autism Awareness game.
• Game time is set for 12 p.m.
