Patrick Ling all had wins in both singles and doubles action, as the Holy Cross men's tennis team posted a 7-0 victory over Assumption at the Sinnott Family Tennis Facility. The Crusaders improve to 2-5 on the season with the win, while the Greyhounds fall to 5-7 overall.
DOUBLES ACTION:
• At No. 1 doubles, Callery and De la Plaza downed Herman Aguirre and Luigi Bassani 6-4.
• Carlson and Ling added a 6-4 win over Jakob Bordt and Hugo Petersson at No. 2 to give Holy Cross the doubles point.
SINGLES PLAY:
• De la Plaza led the way with a 6-4, 7-5 victory over Aguirre at the No. 1 spot.
• Carlson downed Petersson 7-6, 7-6 at No. 2, while Callery defeated Bassani 6-2, 7-6 at No. 3.
• Junior
Camilo Illanes added a 6-3, 6-4 win over Alec Pijnacker at No. 4, Ling downed Bernardo Balancho 4-6, 6-3, (10-8) at No. 5, and junior
Alessandro Bizzarri defeated Bordt 6-2, 6-0 at No. 6.
