WORCESTER, Mass. – The Holy Cross men's ice hockey team is set to host AIC for their regular season finale at the Hart Center Rink on Monday, Feb. 24 at 7 p.m. The game will stream live on FloHockey.

THE CRUSADERS (19-12-2, 18-5-2 AHA):
  • With Bentley's loss to Sacred Heart on Saturday night, the Crusaders earned at least a share of the Atlantic Hockey Regular Season Championship, and eanred the outright no. 1 seed in the Atlantic Hockey Postseason Tournament for the first time since the 2006 season.
  • Should the Crusaders earn at least one point against AIC tonight, through a regulation win or overtime result, Holy Cross would earn the outright Atlantic Hockey Regular Season Champions title.
  • Holy Cross' Atlantic Hockey record 16 consecutive league win streak (counting OT/SO), came to an end on Thursday when the Crusaders fell to Bentley. The streak broke the previous records of 12, accomplished by AIC in 2019-2020, and Air Force over the 2007-08 and 2008-09 seasons.
  • Since the turn of the calendar, senior netminder Thomas Gale has recorded an 11-2-1 record with a 1.74 goals-against average and .940 save percentage in 13 games. Gale has allowed two or fewer goals in 11 of those 13 games.
  • Overall this season, Gale's 2.08 goals-against average ranks 11th nationally (7th among netminders with 20+ games), while his .930 save percentage ranks 8th (6th among netminders with 20+ games). Gale is one of just ten goaltenders to have played 30+ this season, with both of his numbers ranking second among that class.
  • Senior forward Liam McLinskey 40 points is tied for the ninth-highest mark in the nation, while his 20 goals are tied for sixth. This is the second-straight season that McLinskey has hit the 20 point mark, while his 20 goals are one short of his career high.
  • Holy Cross' kill percentage of 90.8% is the best mark in Atlantic Hockey and ranks second in the nation behind only Western Michigan (91.7%).
  • On the other side, the Crusaders power play percentage of 22.5% is second in Atlantic Hockey and is good for 19th in the nation.

  • AIC enters the contest with an 9-15-1 record in Atlantic Hockey contests.
  • As the seventh seed in the Atlantic Hockey playoffs, the Yellowjackets are preparing to host RIT for the single game play-in round on Saturday, March 1.
  • AIC took four out of a possible six points from Army over the weekend, winning on Friday, 3-2, before dropping Saturday's game in overtime, 2-3.
