ANNAPOLIS, Md. — Freshman guard Max Green and sophomore guard DeAndre Williams both scored 20 points, but the Holy Cross men's basketball team was defeated by Navy 83-77 in overtime at Alumni Hall. The Crusaders fall to 13-16 on the year and 5-11 in the Patriot League, while the Midshipmen improve to 11-18 overall and 8-8 in the conference.

INSIDE THE NUMBERS:
• Holy Cross finished the game with a 43-37 rebounding advantage, but only made 43.5 percent of its shots from the floor and committed 21 turnovers.
• Navy was able to connect on 46.4 percent of its field goal attempts, while totaling just 10 turnovers.
• Senior forward Caleb Kenney posted a double-double with 12 points and 12 rebounds, while junior forward Jaiden Feroah added 12 points, nine rebounds, three assists and two blocks.
• The Midshipmen were led by Austin Benigni with 26 points.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
• The Crusaders opened the game by jumping out to a 23-15 lead after the first 9:35 of action.
• Navy responded with a 13-4 run to pull in front, before Holy Cross took a 37-36 advantage into the locker room at halftime.
• The Midshipmen began the second half with a 13-4 spurt to go ahead by eight (49-41) with 15:46 left to play.
• Navy was still up by eight (68-60) with 3:58 remaining, but the Crusaders closed out regulation with an 11-3 run to send the game to overtime tied at 71-71.
• The score was tied at 73-73 early in overtime, before the Midshipmen ran off six straight points to take the lead for good.
• Holy Cross would get no closer than three points the rest of the way, as Navy hit four of six free throws in the final minute to hold on for the win.
