The Holy Cross women's ice hockey team returns to action on Tuesday, Dec. 2, when it plays host to Boston University at 7 p.m. The contest will be shown live on ESPN+.
Holy Cross owns an overall record of 12-5-1 with a 4-4-1 mark in Hockey East play. The Crusaders have won two straight and stand 5-1-1 over their last seven games. In addition, Holy Cross' 12 total victories this year are its most since joining Hockey East in 2018-2019. Freshman forward
Violet Carroll currently leads the team in scoring with 18 points on six goals and 12 assists. Freshman forward
Naemi Herzig has added six goals and nine assists for 15 points, while senior forward
Lane Lewis has 14 points on four goals and 10 assists. In net, senior goaltender
Abby Hornung stands 8-3-1 this season with a 1.51 goals against average and a .941 save percentage.
Boston University enters the week with an overall record of 3-10-1 and a 3-5-1 mark in Hockey East. The Terriers have not played since Nov. 22, when they tied Providence 2-2. Senior forward Sydney Healey leads the team in scoring with seven goals and six assists for 13 points, while senior forward Clara Yuhn has 10 points on six goals and four assists. Senior goaltender Michelle Pasiechnyk and junior goaltender Mari Pietersen have combined for a 3.27 goals against average and an .897 save percentage.
After the contest with Boston University, Holy Cross will travel to Vermont for a pair of games on Dec. 5 and 6.
