WORCESTER, Mass. – Freshman
Naemi Herzig posted a career-high three points on one goal and two assists, as the Holy Cross women's ice hockey team defeated Assumption 6-2 at the Hart Center at the Luth Athletic Complex. The Crusaders improve to 12-5-1 on the season, while the Greyhounds fall to 7-9-1 overall.
HOW IT HAPPENED:
• Senior
Taylor Cantelon and sophomore
Hannah Deck both scored first period goals, as Holy Cross built an early 2-1.
• After Assumption tied the game at 2-2 early in the second, senior
Lane Lewis and Herzig both found the net to make the score 4-2 headed to the third.
• Senior
Alexia Moreau and freshman
Avery Matt then added goals in the final period to conclude the scoring.
INSIDE THE NUMBERS:
• The Crusaders finished the night with a 52-19 advantage in shots on goal.
• Lewis had one goal and one assist, for her fourth multi-point game of the season.
• Matt's goal was the first of her collegiate career.
• Senior
Brooke Loranger made 17 saves on the night.

• Holy Cross returns to the ice on Tuesday, Dec. 2, when it plays host to Boston University at 6 p.m.
