COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - The Holy Cross men's ice hockey team downed Air Force, 4-1, Saturday night at the Cadet Ice Arena.

With the win, Holy Cross improves to 7-5-1 (7-1-1 AHA), while Air Force moves to 5-6-1 (2-4-0 AHA).

HOW IT HAPPENED:

• Senior Jack Seymour scored his third goal of the weekend, grabbing the puck out of the air and sending a quick shot into the back of the net with 4:44 remaining in the first period.
• Junior Jack Stockfish netted a highlight-reel goal just over a minute later to extend the lead to 2-0. Carrying the puck from the defensive zone, Stockfish spun the defender around before ripping the puck into the top corner of the net.
• Air Force cut the lead to 2-1 with a power play goal 1:26 into the second period.
• With 1:25 remaining in the third period, sophomore Noah Eyre forced the turnover at the defensive blue line and sent the puck into the empty Air Force net for the 3-1 lead.
• Pulling the netminder again for the extra attacker, senior Mack Oliphant picked up the puck in the slot and sent it the length of the ice for the fourth Holy Cross goal of the night.

BEYOND THE BOX:

• Freshman Danick Leroux recorded 23 saves in the contest.
• With his +3 rating tonight, Seymour moved into second in the nation at +16 on the season.

• Holy Cross will return home to the Hart Center Rink to face Alaska Anchorage on Thursday, Nov. 20 at 7 p.m. and Sunday, Nov. 23 at 2 p.m.
