NEWARK, Del. – Junior forward
Reghan Chadwick and senior forward
Alexia Moreau both tallied three points on one goal and two assists, as the Holy Cross women's ice hockey team defeated Delaware 5-2 at the Fred Rust Ice Arena. The Crusaders improve to 3-0 on the season, while the Blue Hens fall to 0-3 overall.
HOW IT HAPPENED:
• After a scoreless first period, Katelynn Charlton scored to give Delaware the lead midway through the second.
• Moreau scored on the power play later in the period to tie the game at 1-1, before Charlton's second goal put the Blue Hens up 2-1 headed to the third.
• Holy Cross then ran off four unanswered third period goals, including three in the span of 2:08, to come back for the victory.
• Chadwick tied the game at 2-2 early in the third, before freshman forward
Violet Carroll netted what proved to be the game-winning goal with 11:27 left to play.

Lulu Rourke and senior forward
Charlotte Sonntag added the final two goals as the Crusaders pulled away for the win.
INSIDE THE NUMBERS:
• Holy Cross finished the night with a 62-17 advantage in shots on goal.
• Carroll's goal was the first of her collegiate career.
• The Crusaders improve to 3-0 for the first time since the 2016-2017 season.

• Holy Cross returns to action on Sunday, Oct. 5, when it concludes its weekend series at Delaware with a 2 p.m. game.
