Naemi Herzig and senior
Alexia Moreau both scored goals, as the Holy Cross women's ice hockey team defeated Post 2-0 at the Hart Center at the Luth Athletic Complex. The Crusaders improve to 6-2 on the season, while the Eagles fall to 1-7-1 overall.
HOW IT HAPPENED:
• Holy Cross opened the scoring in the first period, with Herzig knocking in a rebound after a shot by freshman
Violet Carroll had been saved.
• The score remained the same until late in the third period, when Moreau tipped in a shot by freshman
Anna Billa to put the Crusaders up 2-0.
INSIDE THE NUMBERS:
• Senior
Brooke Loranger picked up her third career shutout while making 13 saves.
• Carroll tied her career high with two assists.
• The Crusaders finished the night with a 46-13 advantage in shots on goal.
• Holy Cross improves to 5-0 at home this season.
• The Crusaders have not allowed a goal in their last two games, posting back-to-back shutouts for the first time since the 2017-2018 season.
