WORCESTER, Mass. - The Holy Cross men's ice hockey team fell to No. 6 Quinnipiac, 4-1, Tuesday night at the Hart Center Rink.
With the win, Quinnipiac improves to 4-1-1 on the season, while Holy Cross moves to 1-4-0.
HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Quinnipiac netted two goals in the first period, scoring five minutes in on the power play, and again with less than a minute to play.
- Senior Jack Seymour got the Crusaders on the board six minutes into the second period, scoring from a near-impossible angle.
- Quinnipiac responded five minutes later to re-extend the lead to two, before netting a second power play goal halfway through the third period.
BEYOND THE BOX:
- Senior Louden Hogg made 41 saves in the contest, smashing his previous career-high of 32 from his freshman season.
- Senior Mack Oliphant tied for the game-lead with four blocked shots.
- Sophomore Matt Kursonis tied for the game-lead with 11 faceoff wins.
UP NEXT:
- Holy Cross will head back out on the road on when they return to Atlantic Hockey play with a trip to Army on Friday, Oct. 24 and Saturday, Oct. 25.
- Puck drop in West Point, N.Y. is set for 7 p.m. on Friday, and 4 p.m. on Saturday.
