BOSTON, Mass. – The Holy Cross women's hockey team traveled to the city to take on No. 15 Northeastern on Saturday, Jan. 4. The nationally ranked Huskies took a 4-0 victory over the Crusaders.

BETWEEN THE PIPES:

• Holy Cross: Abby Hornung (L, 4-8-0), 41 saves 
• Northeastern: Lisa Jönsson (W, 8-2-0), 14 saves 

HOW IT HAPPENED:

• In the first period, the Huskies scored at 4:45 with a goal by Morgan Jackson for the 1-0 lead.
• Northeastern extended its lead with back-to-back late goals to end the second period with a 3-0 advantage.
• Just 27 seconds into the final frame, Lily Shannon scored a fourth goal for the Huskies to close out the game.
• No. 15 Northeastern led Holy Cross 45-11 in shots on goal and 28-23 in face-offs to conclude the game.

• The Crusaders return to action on Friday, Jan. 10 when they travel to Rhode Island to take on Providence for game one of two at 6:00 pm. in Schneider Arena.
