WORCESTER, Mass. – Holy Cross head men's soccer coach Matt Brown has announced the addition of four transfers to the Crusaders' program. Mateo Buyu, Wade Johnson, Grant Kelner and Adric Rosato have all joined the team for the 2025 spring semester.

"I'm delighted to welcome Mateo, Wade, Grant and Adric to our program," said Brown. "With such a large senior group it was important to balance our classes out, not only adding quality but also experience. I know they will hit the ground running and will embrace all aspects of what a Holy Cross education offers." 

A detailed look at the incoming transfers follows:

Mateo Buyu | 6-2 | 160 | G | Dorchester, Mass. | Milton Academy | Providence College
• Spent two seasons at Providence College  
• Did not appear in any games for the Friars in 2023 or 2024
• Previously attended Milton Academy in Milton, Mass.
• Served as team captain during his senior year
• Earned Class A All-New England Preparatory School Athletic Council honors as a senior
• Selected to play in the 2022 High School All-America game in Panama City Beach, Fla.
• Played club soccer for the Boston Bolts

Wade Johnson | 5-9 | 158 | M | Sherborn, Mass. | Worcester Academy | Colgate University
• Spent two seasons at Colgate University
• Started 16 games for the Raiders in 2024, totaling four points on one goal and four assists
• Played in eight games with two starts for Colgate in 2023
• Previously attended Worcester Academy in Worcester, Mass.
• A three-year team captain
• Totaled seven goals and 10 assists during his senior year, when he earned Class A All-New England Preparatory School Athletic Council honors
• Helped lead team to NEPSAC titles in 2019 and 2022
• Played club soccer for NEFC

Grant Kelner | 6-2 | 170 | D | Chicago, Ill. | Lane Tech College Prep H.S. | DePaul University
• Spent one season at DePaul University
• Appeared in three games with two starts for the Blue Demons, recording one assist
• Previously attended Lane Tech College Prep High School in Chicago, Ill.
• Played club soccer for the Chicago Fire FC

Adric Rosato | 5-9 | 165 | M | Frisco, Texas | Reedy H.S. | Bellarmine University
• Spent two seasons at Bellarmine University
• Played in 16 games with two starts for the Knights in 2024
• Appeared in five games for Bellarmine in 2023, and was named to the Atlantic Sun Honor Roll
• Previously attended Rick Reedy High School in Frisco, Texas
• Team captain as a senior, when he led the team to a 17-5-4 record
• Totaled 16 goals and 12 assists in 2022, while being named first team All-District
• Named Academic All-State and Academic All-District
• Played club soccer for San Antonio FC and FC Dallas
• Played in various elite international tournaments including Copa Chivas, Wanda Cup, Dallas Cup and Copa Bravos
