BOSTON, Mass. – The Holy Cross women's hockey team traveled to the city for the regular season series finale and Turnpike Trophy game at No. 15 Boston University on Saturday, Jan. 25. The nationally ranked Terriers took a 3-0 shutout to sweep the Crusaders in the season series.
BETWEEN THE PIPES:
- Holy Cross: Brooke Loranger (L, 3-4-1), 34 saves
- Boston University: Mari Pietersen (W, 4-2-0), 15 saves
HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Late in the first period, Tamara Giaquinto converted on the power-play at 15:18 followed by a second goal netted by Clara Yuhn just two minutes later. The Terriers concluded the opening period with a 2-0 lead.
- In the second period, Lindsay Bochna scored on the power-play to further No. 15 Boston University's advantage at 11:24.
- Neither team scored in the third period.
- No. 15 Boston University led Holy Cross 37-15 in shots on goal and 35-19 in face-offs to conclude the game.

- The Crusaders return to action on Friday, Jan. 31 to host New Hampshire for the regular season series finale at 5:00 pm. in the Hart Center Rink.
