WORCESTER, Mass. – The Holy Cross women's hockey team hosted No. 15 Boston University for its White Out, Turnpike Trophy and Cousy Cup game on Friday, Jan. 24. The nationally ranked Terriers took the 2-0 win for the point in the Turnpike Trophy.
BETWEEN THE PIPES:
- Holy Cross: Abby Hornung (L, 4-11-2), 17 saves
- Boston University: Mari Pietersen (W, 3-2-0), 25 saves
HOW IT HAPPENED:
- In the first period, a long pass gave the Terrier's Alex Law the breakaway goal at 4:26 for the 1-0 lead.
- In the second period, No. 15 Boston University doubled the lead with a sneaky goal by Lola Reid at 17:54.
- Neither team scored in the third period.
- Holy Cross led No. 15 Boston University 25-20 in shots on goal and 32-20 in face-offs to conclude the game.
