- An American triple doubled up the score 8-4 in the early stages. Flanagan knocked down a trey to give the Crusaders their first lead 11-10 at the 4:25 mark. Back-to-back threes by junior Meg Cahalan and Eddy on the same wing grew the advantage to 21-14 after one.
- Holy Cross began the second on a 14-4 run with Flanagan coming up with a steal dishing to Berger for a fast break layup and the 35-18 lead. American outscored the Crusaders 9-4 over the remainder of the half.
- The Crusaders outproduced the Eagles 10-3 in the early stages of the third with Eddy going coast-to-coast for the isolation layup and canning a three-ball for 49-30 advantage. Senior Lauren Huber drilled a mid-range elbow jumper as the horn sounded opening up a 20 point, 51-31 lead for the guests.
- The Holy Cross edge expanded to a high of 32 on a freshman Stella Gougoufkas jumper with 1:!3 to play.
