WORCESTER, Mass. – The Holy Cross women's swimming and diving team began 2025 with a 159.5-140.5 loss to Patriot League opponent Colgate on Friday afternoon in the Hart Center Pool.
The loss sends the Crusaders to 1-3 and 0-2 in conference action while the Raiders improve to 4-5, 2-3 with the win.
Junior
Ainsley Nalen collected a pair of first place showings in the 200-yard freestyle (1:57.75) and the 500-yard freestyle (5:15.04).
Sophomore
Kat Anticev finished first in the 1,000-yard freestyle finishing the race in 10:48.34 earning nine points for the Crusaders. Classmate
Devin Brindle also hit the wall first in the 100-yard freestyle (52.94).
In the diving events, freshman
Brenna Short earned first in the one-meter dive (260.25) while senior
Ciara Scamby had the highest point total (243.53) in the three-meter dive.
Holy Cross will host Providence (2-2) in the Hart Center Pool on Saturday, Jan. 18 at noon.
