Ezequiel De la Plaza all had wins in both singles and doubles action, as the Holy Cross men's tennis team posted a 6-1 victory over Southern New Hampshire at the Sinnott Family Tennis Facility. The Crusaders begin the season at 1-0, while the Penmen begin the year at 0-1.
DOUBLES ACTION:
• At No. 2 doubles, Carlson and De la Plaza defeated Albert Modol and Phillipp Roeder 6-3.
• Illanes and freshman
Will Donnelly added a 6-0 win over Marcos Castaneda and Sebastian Eckert at No. 3 to give Holy Cross the doubles point.
SINGLES PLAY:
• De la Plaza led the way with a 6-4, 6-2 victory over Cade Nadeau at the No. 1 spot.
• Carlson downed Castaneda 6-1, 6-1 at No. 2, while sophomore
Teddy Callery defeated Modol 6-3, 6-3 at No. 3.
• Illanes added a 3-6, 6-0, 6-2 win over Jaden Williams at No. 4, and freshman
Lucas Bikkesbakker downed Noah Cadilhac 6-1, 6-4 at No. 6.
