SMITHFIELD, R.I. – The Holy Cross men's soccer team was defeated by Bryant 1-0 at Beirne Stadium. The Crusaders fall to 2-4-3 on the season, while the Bulldogs improve to 5-2-1 overall.
HOW IT HAPPENED:
• The only goal of the night came in the 17th minute, when Tibo Jacobs headed the ball in following a corner kick by Miguel Rodeia.
• The Crusaders had some good scoring chances of their own, but were unable to put any shots on goal as Bryant pulled out the win.
INSIDE THE NUMBERS:
• The Bulldogs finished the game with a narrow 10-9 advantage in shots and a 4-1 edge in corner kicks.
• Senior goalkeeper
Tristan Stephani made two saves on the night.

• Holy Cross returns to action on Sunday, Sept. 29, when it plays host to Loyola (Md.) at 2 p.m.
