WORCESTER, Mass. – Junior Brian Fennelly of the Holy Cross men's track and field team has been named CSC Academic All-America Third Team, his first time earning this honor.

Fennelly, a chemistry major, earned a cumulative grade point average of 3.81 concluding his junior year. Over the year, he competed in five indoor meets and six outdoor meets breaking the heptathlon school record twice and earning one bronze medal. Fennelly currently holds the heptathlon record with 4,903 points which earned him fourth overall at the Patriot League Indoor Championship.
