WORCESTER, Mass. – Junior Brian Fennelly of the Holy Cross men's track and field team has been named CSC Academic All-District.
Fennelly, a chemistry major, earned a cumulative grade point average of 3.81 concluding his junior year. Over the year, he competed in five indoor meets and six outdoor meets breaking the heptathlon school record twice and earning one bronze medal. Fennelly finished 45th in the East Region while competing in the decathlon (6,476 pts.) at the UConn Northeast Challenge (Apr. 12-13, 2024) during the outdoor season. This honor marks Fennelly's second time making the Academic All-District Team. He is also a two-time Academic All-Patriot League selection and two-time Patriot League Academic Honor Roll recipient. In his free time he volunteers with Unified Track and Field Millbury, SAAC, the Office of Student Involvement and multiple events hosted by the Holy Cross Athletic Department.
