WORCESTER, Mass. – Holy Cross softball sophomore Ali Sniegocki has been named to the 2024 National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) All-Northeast Region Third Team as an outfielder the organization announced Saturday afternoon. 

It is the third postseason honor for Sniegocki as she earned Patriot League second team and Academic All-Patriot League honors last week. She becomes the seventh different player in program history to receive All-Region honors from the NFCA.

Sniegocki is one of 11 Patriot League student-athletes to achieve all-region recognition. Seven players were selected from Boston University, two from Army West Point, one from Holy Cross and one from Lehigh. Overall, 376 student-athletes from 160 programs have received 2024 NFCA Division I All-Region accolades.  

Sniegocki started and played in all 49 games for the Crusaders this season recording a team-best triple slash line of .338/.359/.525 for a .884 OPS (on-base plus slugging). The outfielder paced the team in batting average (.338), at bats (160), runs (25), hits (54), doubles (12), home runs (6), RBI (23), total bases (84), slugging percentage (.525), on-base percentage (.359) and outfield assists (5).

She ranked fifth in the Patriot League in home runs, tied for sixth in doubles, tied for eighth in hits, ninth in at bats, 10th in batting average and 10th in slugging percentage.

Her six round trippers rank third during a single season in program history while her 54 hits tie for fifth on the single season record list.

She also led the team with 14 multiple hit efforts including four three hit performances and one four hit showing. Sniegocki tallied eight two RBI games which was a team high, had two separate 10 game hitting streaks (March 3-March 13, April 23-present) and a 17 game reached base streak (March 3-March 30).

NFCA member head coaches from each respective region nominated student-athletes (eight maximum) and voted for the teams. All awarded student-athletes now become eligible for the 2024 NFCA Division I All-America squads.
