WEST POINT, N.Y. — The Holy Cross baseball team dropped the final game of its road series at Army, 21-6, on Sunday, April 7.

HOW IT HAPPENED:

A two RBI triple followed by a three-run homer gave Army a 5-0 lead in the bottom of the first.

A two RBI single and sacrifice fly RBI extended the Black Knights' advantage to 8-0 by the end of the second inning.

A grand slam, a pair of two RBI doubles and an RBI single brought Army into double digits with a 17-0 lead to end the third.

An RBI single in the fourth, two more in the fifth and another in the sixth put the Black Knights up 21-0.

A late seventh inning surge for the Crusaders. A bases loaded RBI walk got one across. Patrick Casserly hit a two RBI double into right center followed by Jack Toomey crushing a two RBI triple which he scored on due to a error by the center fielder for six runs

The run rule came into play ending the competition in the seventh, 21-6 with Army taking the win.
