BETHLEHEM, Pa. — The Holy Cross men's golf team finished in a shared fifth place at the Patriot League Championship hosted by Lehigh. The men competed against seven other teams at the Saucon Valley Country Club.
Junior Nolan Schuermann paced all Crusaders firing a 72 on day one and 73 on day two. On the final day of play he shot a 76 for a 221 (+5) performance which gave him a share of fifth place. His efforts landed him a First Team All-Patriot League Selection.
Freshman Ryan Scollins, who was not far behind Schuermann in a shared 10th place, was named Second Team All-Patriot League after shooting 76-76-71 for a 223 (+7) performance.
After three rounds of the 72-hole course, the Crusaders finished with a score of 905 (+41) as a team.
COACH'S CORNER:
"Nolan Schuermann '25 earned first team All-Patriot League honors this year to improve on the second team honors he received in 2023. Ryan Scollins '27, on the strength of his final round 71 was named to the second team All-Patriot league," said director of golf Steve Napoli. "We are a young team that includes only juniors, sophomores and freshmen. The future looks very bright."
