  • Junior designated hitter Chris Baillargeon hit a grand slam in the top of the third to extend the Crusader lead to 11-2.
  • Toomey led off the fifth with a solo homer that made it a 12-2 advantage. Later in the frame, a double steal allowed Sandell to score and make it a 13-2 game.
  • The lead grew to 14-2 in the sixth as an infield single by King — his fifth hit of the day — scored Baillargeon. Holy Cross held on to the double-digit advantage, helping the Crusaders earn the run-rule victory in seven innings.
