BETHLEHEM, Pa. – The Holy Cross baseball team fell short against Lehigh, 3-1, in Patriot League action on Friday, April 26.

THE DECISION:

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Sophomore right fielder Jack Toomey doubled with two outs in the top of the first, and was driven home by a single up the middle from freshman second baseman Alex Sandell.
- The Crusaders held onto the 1-0 lead until the fifth inning, when a solo homer by Tyler Young knotted the score. Lehigh would then take a 2-1 lead the following inning when Justin Butler notched another home run.
- Holy Cross had a pair of runners on second and third in the eighth, but Lehigh snared a line drive for the third out to keep the Crusaders off the board.
- The Mountain Hawks tacked on an insurance run with an RBI double in the bottom of the eighth.
DUE UP:
- Holy Cross and Lehigh will continue the series with a contest on Saturday, April 27.
- First pitch is scheduled for 1 p.m.
