HONOLULU — The Holy Cross baseball team came up short against Hawaii, falling 9-2 on Monday, March 4.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Junior first baseman Chris Baillargeon drew a walk to lead off the second inning, and was driven home by a one-out double from freshman catcher Colin Brown.
- Hawaii scored seven runs in the bottom of the second to take a commanding lead; its lead grew to 9-1 by the fifth inning.
- The Crusaders got a run back in the top of the sixth after sophomore third baseman Cam Bryant doubled to lead off the frame and came around to score on a wild pitch.
- Relief pitchers Augie Walters, Dan Mateffy and Payton Sutman tossed three scoreless innings out of the Crusader bullpen, but the Hawaii bullpen also kept Holy Cross off the board for the remainder of the game.
