WORCESTER, Mass. – Senior Bronagh Power-Cassidy and sophomore Kaitlyn Flanagan of the Holy Cross women's basketball team have been selected to the 2024 College Sports Communicators Academic All-District® Team announced by the organization on Tuesday.
 
By earning Academic All-District® honors, Power-Cassidy, the 2024 Patriot League Scholar-Athlete of the Year and two-time Academic All-Patriot League selection advances to the CSC Academic All-America® ballot. First-, second- and third-team Academic All-America® honorees will be announced on Tuesday, April 16.
 
Power-Cassidy, a psychology major has posted a 3.77 GPA. The two-time Patriot League Championship MVP and two-time conference champion started and played in 32 games for the Crusaders leading the team and ranking first in the Patriot League in 3-pointers (80), 3-point percentage (40.0), 3-pointers per game (2.5) while ranking third in the conference in scoring (16.8), fifth in field goal percentage (45.1) and sixth in minutes per game (33.1).

Flanagan, a two-time Patriot League champion, is undeclared and has a 3.56 GPA. She has started and played in all 34 games for the Crusaders this year pacing the squad and leading the Patriot League in assists (151), assists per game (4.4), and assist-to-turnover ratio (2.7) which ranks 14th in the NCAA.
 
To qualify for CSC Academic All-District®, student-athletes must compete in 90 percent of the institution's games/contests played OR must start in at least 66 percent of the games/contests. 
 
Holy Cross (21-13, 11-7 PL) captured their conference best 13th Patriot League championship back on March 17 and earned a win in the NCAA First Four on March 21 over UT Martin.
