With the bases loaded, freshman left fielder John LaFleur hit a two-run single to right, and freshman designated hitter Colin Brown followed with a two-run double to extend the Crusader lead to 7-1 in the fourth.
  • The Bears stuck around, using an RBI double and two-run homer to cut within 7-4 in the bottom of the fourth.
  • Royer hit his second home run of the day in the top of the fifth, and senior right fielder Jake McElroy later had a two-run homer to make it a 10-4 game. Junior third baseman Brendan Jones had a sac fly in the sixth to extend the Crusader advantage to 11-4.
