Men’s lacrosse downed by Lafayette on senior day

WORCESTER, Mass. — The Holy Cross men's lacrosse team fell to Lafayette, 17-8, on Saturday at Kuzniewski Field.

Senior Matt Major and freshman Jude Lynch led the way for the Crusaders (2-5, 0-3 PL) with two goals each. Lafayette (4-3, 1-2 PL) was led by Charlie Cunife, who recorded four goals and two assists for six points.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
  • Lafayette got on the board first before Major tied the game at 1-1.
  • Lynch picked up his first of the game with five minutes remaining in the first period.
  • Freshman Bo Webster picked up his third of the season with six minutes to go in the half.
  • Sophomore Tyler Marmo extended his goal streak to four games with his tally ten minutes into the third.
  • The Crusaders outscored the Leopards 4-2 in the fourth quarter with Lynch, senior Cole Kratovil, junior Calahan McPherson, and Major all picking up goals in the frame.

UP NEXT:
  • Holy Cross will continue their Patriot League schedule next Saturday, March 23, when they travel to Annapolis, Md. to face Navy.
  • Game time is set for 3 p.m.
