The Holy Cross men's basketball team returns home this Saturday, Feb. 10 to face American at 2 p.m. for a
Purple Out on Winter Homecoming weekend. The contest between the Crusaders and the Eagles will be shown live by the Patriot League on ESPN+.
Holy Cross stands 7-17 overall this year with a 4-7 mark in Patriot League play. The Crusaders have won two of their last three games, with victories over Boston University (65-63) and Loyola (70-67). Senior guard
Joe Octave leads the team by averaging 14.3 points, 6.0 rebounds and 1.7 assists per game. Junior forward
Caleb Kenney has posted 11.0 points, 6.2 rebounds and 2.0 blocks per game, while senior guard
Bo Montgomery has added 9.8 points, 4.1 boards and 2.8 assists per contest, and sophomore guard
Will Batchelder has put up 8.6 points and 1.5 assists per game.
American has an overall mark of 13-11 on the season, including a 7-4 record in the Patriot League. In their last game, the Eagles fell to Loyola (Md.) 44-43 on Wednesday. Senior forward Matt Rogers leads the team with averages of 15.6 points and 6.6 rebounds per game, while hitting 51.1 percent of his field goal attempts. Junior guard Elijah Stephens has averaged 12.2 points and 5.2 assists per contest, while senior guard Lorenzo Donadio has added 10.2 points and 4.3 rebounds per game.
After the contest with American, Holy Cross will travel to Colgate for a 7 p.m. game on Wednesday, Feb. 14.
