WORCESTER, Mass. — As part of the College of the Holy Cross’ Power of Purple Giving Day celebration during Winter Homecoming, all Crusader athletic teams in competition will wear their purple uniforms at home – and all fans are encouraged to join in, sport purple and show their Holy Cross pride!
Winter Homecoming Athletics Events — Saturday, Feb. 10
1 p.m. | Women’s Lacrosse vs. Fairfield
2 p.m. | Men’s Basketball vs. American | TICKETS
6 p.m. | Women’s Ice Hockey vs. #11 Connecticut | Senior Day
At the men’s basketball contest, 500 purple t-shirts will be given away, courtesy of Pepsi of Worcester. Tickets for Holy Cross basketball can be purchased online at GoHolyCross.com/tickets or by calling or texting 1-844-GOCROSS.
Admission is free for the women’s lacrosse and women’s ice hockey contests. All three contests will be broadcasted on ESPN+.
The home games take place during the College’s Power of Purple Giving Day, which will run for 48 hours over Homecoming Weekend from midnight on Friday, Feb. 9, through 11:59 p.m. EST on Saturday, Feb. 10. This year, the College Giving Day and Athletics Giving Day are one and the same – so whether you wish to support Crusader Athletics as a whole or your favorite teams, Feb. 9 and 10 is the time to make your gift.
All fans in attendance at the men's basketball game can enter to win a 65-inch Samsung television and sound bar as an incentive to encourage donating to the Power of Purple Giving Day. A winner will be randomly chosen in the second half of the contest, and fans must be in attendance to claim the prize.
Fans are also encouraged to shop at the Holy Cross bookstore and purchase a collection of Crusader gear.
