ANNAPOLIS, Md. – Holy Cross senior
Greta Walting finished in fourth place during the 100-yard breaststroke event during the third day of competition at the Patriot League Championship in Maryland.
As a team, the Crusaders stayed in ninth place with 263 points. The top three remained the same as Navy (1,003) built a sizable lead over Army (826), and Boston University (708).
Walting had the fourth best time in the morning preliminary session and took part in the "A" Final. She hit the wall at 1:02.66 which was just shy of Bucknell's Kate Handley third place time of 1:02.37.
Junior
Caroline Mahoney broke the old program record in the 100-yard backstroke completing the race in 57.03 which was good enough for 11th place.
The 200-yard freestyle relay grouping consisting of freshman
Devin Brindle, Walting, sophomore
Nora Smillie and sophomore
Ainsley Nalen set a new team mark with a 1:34.98 time.
In the diving events, freshman
Sarah Grady scored a 229.00 in the one-meter dive.
