WORCESTER, Mass. – Junior
Isabela Miller totaled four points on two goals and two assists, but the Holy Cross women's lacrosse team was defeated by Stanford 19-7 at Kuzniewski Field. The Crusaders fall to 1-2 on the season with the loss, while the Cardinal improves to 1-2 overall.
INSIDE THE NUMBERS:
• Stanford outshot Holy Cross 41-17 on the afternoon, while holding an 18-12 advantage on draw controls.

Lauren Drillock scored one goal and tied her career high with four assists, while junior
Sally Zinsner added two goals.
• Senior
Tori Cini and sophomore
Mackenzie Creagh combined to make 11 saves.
• Jay Browne led the Cardinal with five goals scored.
HOW IT HAPPENED:
• Stanford opened the game by jumping out to an early 4-0 lead after the first 4:15 of action.
• The Cardinal was later up 6-1, when the Crusaders scored three of the next four goals to cut the deficit to three (7-4) midway through the second quarter.
• But Stanford responded with five unanswered goals to go up 12-4 at halftime.
• Holy Cross would get no closer than seven in the second half, with the Cardinal pulling away down the stretch to win by 12.

• Holy Cross will return to action on Saturday, Feb. 24, when it travels to New Hampshire for a 2 p.m. game.
