WORCESTER, Mass. – Freshman
Annabel Brennan scored a career-high three goals, but the Holy Cross women's lacrosse team was defeated by Bryant 13-10 at Kuzniewski Field. The Crusaders fall to 1-1 on the season with the loss, while the Bulldogs improve to 1-1 overall.
INSIDE THE NUMBERS:
• Holy Cross posted a 16-11 advantage in draw controls, but was unable to overcome 22 turnovers.

Lauren Drillock and junior
Sally Zinsner both finished the game with four points on two goals and two assists.

Tori Cini recorded a season-best 12 saves.
• Peyton Woodward led Bryant with five points on four goals and one assist
HOW IT HAPPENED:
• The Crusaders opened the game by jumping out to an early 3-1 lead midway through the first quarter.
• The Bulldogs responded by scoring seven of the next eight goals, and eventually led 8-5 at halftime.
• Brennan scored back-to-back goals to make it an 8-7 game early in the third quarter, before Bryant came back with two goals of its own to take a 10-7 edge into the fourth quarter.
• Holy Cross refused to go quietly, using goals from Zinsner and Brennan to cut the deficit to one (10-9) with 12:22 left to play.
• But Bryant scored the next three goals to regain control, and held on for a 13-10 victory.
UP NEXT:
• Holy Cross will return to action on Monday, Feb. 19, when it plays host to Stanford at 3 p.m.
