WORCESTER, Mass. – Freshman Annabel Brennan scored a career-high three goals, but the Holy Cross women's lacrosse team was defeated by Bryant 13-10 at Kuzniewski Field. The Crusaders fall to 1-1 on the season with the loss, while the Bulldogs improve to 1-1 overall.

• Senior Lauren Drillock and junior Sally Zinsner both finished the game with four points on two goals and two assists.
• Senior Tori Cini recorded a season-best 12 saves.
• Peyton Woodward led Bryant with five points on four goals and one assist

HOW IT HAPPENED:
• The Crusaders opened the game by jumping out to an early 3-1 lead midway through the first quarter.
• The Bulldogs responded by scoring seven of the next eight goals, and eventually led 8-5 at halftime.
• Brennan scored back-to-back goals to make it an 8-7 game early in the third quarter, before Bryant came back with two goals of its own to take a 10-7 edge into the fourth quarter.
• Holy Cross refused to go quietly, using goals from Zinsner and Brennan to cut the deficit to one (10-9) with 12:22 left to play.
• But Bryant scored the next three goals to regain control, and held on for a 13-10 victory.
