Game Recap: Men's Basketball |

Holy Cross holds off Harvard 68-67

WORCESTER, Mass. — Freshman guard Max Green totaled 18 points, eight rebounds and three assists, to lead the Holy Cross men's basketball team to a 68-67 victory over Harvard at the Hart Center at the Luth Athletic Complex. The Crusaders improve to 5-4 on the year with the victory, while the Crimson falls to 2-7 overall.

INSIDE THE NUMBERS:
• Holy Cross made 46.3 percent of its field goal attempts, 38.9 percent of its three-pointers and 78.6 percent of its fouls shots on the night.
• Harvard connected on 41.5 percent of its shots from the floor and 28.0 percent of its attempts from three-point range, while holding a 39-30 rebounding advantage.
• Junior forward Jaiden Feroah finished with 13 points, four rebounds and four steals, while sophomore forward Joe Nugent added 13 points and four boards.
• The Crimson were led by Robert Hinton with 19 points and eight rebounds.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
• Harvard opened the game by jumping out to a 13-7 lead after the first 7:22 of action.
• The Crimson were still up by three (21-18) with 7:28 left before the break, when the Crusaders scored 11 straight points to pull in front (29-21).
• After holding a one-point lead (36-35) at the break, Holy Cross used runs of 10-0 and 6-0 early in the second half to go up by 10 (54-44) with 10:33 remaining.
• The Crusaders were still up by nine (67-59) with three minutes to go, before Harvard scored the next eight points to make it a one-point game.
• But with 0.6 seconds remaining, freshman guard Tyler Boston stole an inbound pass to secure the win for Holy Cross.

• The Crusaders return to action on Saturday, Dec. 7, when they play host to Central Connecticut at 2 p.m.
