WORCESTER, Mass. – Holy Cross men's swimming and diving team took part in a two-day nonconference dual meet and was dropped by Bryant 162-132 Saturday afternoon.
The Crusaders fall to 1-2 on the year while the Bulldogs move to 3-1.
The diving events took place at Holy Cross' Hart Center Pool on Friday. Sophomore
Luke Parada finished first on the one-meter board with a 312.16 score. Freshman
Griffin Casey also came in first on the three-meter board at 325.58 smashing his old school record mark in the process.
The swimming events shifted to the Chace Center Pool on Saturday. Junior
Jack Greiner swept all three individual events he competed in tallying a trio of first place showings in the 200-yard freestyle (1:43.68), the 200-yard backstroke (1:54.94) and the 200-yard individual medley (1:56.45).
Alex Michael (1:59.24) and
Quentin Miquel (2:02.43) were second and third in the 200 IM.
Junior
Zach Bubonovich brought home first in both of his individual events, the 200-yard breaststroke (2:10.22) and the 100-yard breaststroke (58.99).
Senior
Rory Hess hit the wall first in the 200-yard butterfly (1:56.51).
Holy Cross will be back in action on Saturday, Nov. 9 at 10:00 a.m. for the Worcester City Championship hosted by WPI.
