ORONO, Maine - The Holy Cross field hockey team fell to Maine, 2-0, in non-conference action on Sunday afternoon at the UMaine Field Hockey Complex.

HOW IT HAPPENED:

• Neither team was able to find the back of the net in the first three quarters. 
• Maine broke the ice with 7:54 left to play, then put the game away with a second goal with 29 seconds remaining.

BEYOND THE BOX:

• Freshman goalkeeper Mia McCloskey made four saves in the contest.
• Senior Meggan Fourie picked up her second defensive save in as many games during the game.

UP NEXT:

• Holy Cross will return home on Saturday, Oct. 19 to face Patriot League opponent American at 11 a.m.
• The matchup will be the Crusaders' senior day, where the team will honor the careers of Grace Donahue, Meggan Fourie, Maddie O'Hare, Lydia Oliver, and Molly Vinton.
