WORCESTER, Mass. – The Holy Cross women's rowing team had ten athletes earn Collegiate Rowing Coaches Association (CRCA) National Scholar-Athlete honors for the 2022-2023 season.
Seniors
Josie Ascione (chemistry),
Lauren Colby (accounting),
Maggie Gilmore (biology), and
Maggie O'Leary (environmental studies and international studies); juniors
Isabella Bokan (english) and
Ellen Anne Foy (biology); and sophomores
Lucy Campbell (classics and English),
Sarah Iannone (undeclared),
Lauren MacDonald (undeclared), and
Jenna Peterson (neuroscience and physics) were each selected as CRCA National Scholar-Athletes.
To be eligible, a student-athlete must be in at least their second year of eligibility, maintain a cumulative GPA of 3.50 or higher through the fall of 2022, and have rowed in an NCAA eligible boat for a minimum of 75% of the current spring races or race in an NCAA boat at the institutions conference championship or NCAA championship.
This year, the CRCA honored over 1,000 student-athletes across the country, with an average GPA of 3.77.
