WORCESTER, Mass. – Sophomore
Jane Feeney of the Holy Cross women's track and field team has been chosen as the Hilton Garden Inn Crusader of the Week for May 1 - 7.
Feeney competed at the Patriot League Championship in Bethlehem, Pa. on Friday and Saturday. She set the heptathlon school record with a final score of 4,610, placing fourth overall. The previous record was set by Sarah Dahlstrom '15 in May 2015.
Additionally, Feeney claimed two personal bests within the heptathlon. She finished the 200m with a time of 26.99 and the 800m at 2:37.60. Her highest place of the weekend was in the long jump. She won the event with a mark of 5.49m. She placed second in the high jump (1.61m) and the shot put (11.51m).
The Crusaders will return to action on May 12 and 13 when they travel to Dedham, Mass. for the New England Championships.
