WORCESTER, Mass. – Holy Cross junior Matt Major was named to the 2023 Academic All-Patriot League men's lacrosse team, the conference office announced on Thursday. To be eligible, a student-athlete must have reached sophomore academic standing with at least a 3.20 cumulative grade point average and be a starter or key reserve.
 
Major played in all 14 games this season, starting 13 of them. Posting career highs in every category this season, Major tallied 16 goals and an assist for 17 points, while collecting ten ground balls and causing two turnovers. He recorded his first three hat tricks of his career this season, posting three-goal games against Providence, Navy, and Lafayette. In his career, he has tallied 20 goals and five assists in 28 games played.
 
Major, who is a double major in economics and math, holds a cumulative grade point average of 3.90.
