The Holy Cross softball team will end their 2023 season with a single home game versus nonconference foe Bryant on Wednesday, May 3 at 4 p.m. The contest will stream live on ESPN+.

WHAT TO KNOW ABOUT HOLY CROSS (15-35-1):

• The Crusaders dropped a three game set to Lehigh losing 9-1 in five innings during game one before falling 13-7 in game two on Saturday evening. Freshman Anna Brait was 3-for-4 with two doubles and two RBI in game two while teammates, sophomore Callie Thibault and junior Jessica Mott tallied two hits apiece.
• Anna Brait, a Patriot League Honorable Mention selection on Tuesday afternoon has reached base in 13 straight games for the Crusaders. Brait is slashing .444/.565/.667 during the streak with more walks (10) than strikeouts (5), five doubles, five runs scored, a home run and 10 RBI. She has a team-best eight multiple RBI games and 15 multiple hit games, including a trio of three hit efforts.
• Senior Kari Jacobson is hitting a career-high .282 for the Crusaders this year. Jacobson is second on the team in batting average, runs scored (20), hits (35), and is tied for the team lead in sacrifice bunts which is the top mark in the Patriot League.

SCOUTING THE BULLDOGS (15-26):

• Bryant is coming off a doubleheader split against UMBC on Saturday dropping a 9-0 decision before winning 6-5 in game two. Aleix Hudson was 3-for-4 with a double and two RBI while Megan Marcel was 2-for-3 with two RBI.
• Courtney Paolantonio, a one-time America East Player of the Week is hitting .274 on the season for the Bulldogs and is tied for second on the team in home runs (3), is third on the team in hits (26), runs scored (12) and RBI (17).
• Kylie Kenney, a one-time America East Pitcher of the Week leads the squad in innings pitched (109.0), complete games (9), strikeouts (117), wins (10) and is second in ERA (3.47).

LAST TIME THEY MET:

• Bryant earned a 3-0 shutout victory the last time the two teams met back on March 21, 2021.
