HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Dartmouth led, 4-0, by the top of the third inning. Freshman right fielder Jack Toomey delivered an RBI double to center in the bottom of the third to put the Crusaders on the board, but Holy Cross left a pair of runners stranded after back-to-back flyouts, keeping the score at 4-1.
- Center fielder Tyler Robinson tripled to lead off the top of the fourth, and scored during a double play, giving the Big Green a 5-1 lead.
- Holy Cross began to rally in the bottom of the fourth, with junior catcher Patrick Casserly hitting a solo homer to lead off the frame. Freshman center fielder Jake Jaszcz walked and sophomore shortstop Jimmy King was hit by a pitch to put a pair of runners on; a double steal moved the two runners to second and third, and Jaszcz scored on a wild pitch to bring Holy Cross within 5-3. After a sac fly, Holy Cross cut within 5-4.
- In the bottom of the sixth, sophomore designated hitter Sean Scanlon drew a one-out walk and Toomey singled to put a pair of runners on. Sophomore left fielder Connor Cooney hit an RBI single to center to even up the game, and sophomore first baseman Chris Baillargeon cleared the bases with a two-run single to put Holy Cross up 7-5.
- Senior reliever Ben Talbot threw three scoreless innings to preserve the victory for Holy Cross.
