WORCESTER, Mass. — The Holy Cross baseball team couldn't contain Lehigh, falling 8-4 on Sunday, April 16 at Fitton Field.

THE DECISION:

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- After three scoreless frames, the Mountain Hawks took a 3-0 lead in the top of the fourth after a two-run homer and RBI single.
- Freshman right fielder Jack Toomey immediately responded with a one-out solo homer in the bottom of the fourth. Freshman catcher Lucas Manning then hit a two-out double, and back-to-back RBI singles by sophomore left fielder Chris Baillargeon and freshman shortstop Oliver Brown tied the game up at 3-3.
- The Crusaders took a 4-3 lead in the bottom of the fifth after an error by the Mountain Hawks, but Lehigh immediately tied up the game at 4-4 in the top of the sixth.
- A two-run homer gave Lehigh a 6-4 lead in the eighth, and it added two more insurance runs for an 8-4 lead in the ninth.
DUE UP:
- Holy Cross heads to West Point, N.Y., for a midweek Patriot League matchup against Army.
- First pitch is scheduled for 3 p.m. on Wednesday, April 19.
