PROVIDENCE, R.I. — The Holy Cross women's tennis team was defeated by Providence 7-0 at the Providence Tennis Courts. The Crusaders fall to 6-8 on the season, while the Friars improve to 4-11 overall.
Providence began the day by sweeping all three of the doubles matches to claim the doubles point. The Friars then posted wins in all six singles matches to wrap up the overall victory. The closest match of the day came at No. 6 singles, where freshman
Katie Nossa was edged by Emmie Lindholm 3-6, 6-2, (11-9).
Holy Cross returns to action on Wednesday, April 19, when it plays host to Merrimack at 3:30 p.m.
